The problem
Most business owners only find out something is wrong with their website when a customer tells them. The checkout page is down. The browser is showing a scary certificate warning. Invoices have been landing in spam for a month because nobody set up SPF and DMARC.
None of these are hard to fix once you know about them. The hard part is knowing, and then knowing what to do about it when the report is written for a sysadmin.
The idea
Cyboruz does two things. It runs a wide set of checks on your domain, all the time, and it turns the results into a short, prioritised list a non-technical owner can understand. Then, if you'd rather not fix things yourself, you can ask their experts to do it, straight from the issue.
The free scan on the homepage is the front door. You type in your domain, no card needed, and within seconds you see your first results. It's a good example of showing value before asking for anything.
What it checks
- Uptime and availability, with alerts the moment something changes.
- SSL and HTTPS: certificate validity, upcoming expiry and whether HTTP redirects properly.
- Security headers such as HSTS, Content-Security-Policy and X-Frame-Options.
- Email authentication: SPF, DKIM and DMARC, which decide whether your emails reach inboxes.
- Blacklists and reputation, to catch a domain that's been flagged before customers notice.
- DNS and domain health, including domain expiry.
Every result lands in one of three buckets: pass, warning or critical. Owners don't need to know what a CAA record is. They need to know whether to worry, and what to do first.
What we did
- Marketing website design and development, including the free scan flow
- Customer dashboard with risk score, live uptime and recent activity
- Scanning and scheduled checks: uptime, SSL, security headers, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, blacklists and DNS
- Alerts and prioritised reports (pass, warning, critical)
What other products can take from it
A free, instant result on the homepage beats a long sign-up form almost every time. People trust a tool once it has told them something true about their own site. We use the same idea on our own homepage, with a free mockup.
The other lesson: monitoring alone is a commodity. Pairing it with "and here's someone who can fix it" turns an alert into a solution, and gives the business a second way to earn.
